Principles, advantages and applications of CNC machining technology
December 16,2024

With the development of manufacturing industry, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology has become one of the important base technologies in modern manufacturing industry. The industry plays an important role.
Principles of CNC machining technology
CNC machining technology is a technology that uses computer programs to control machine tools for processing. The core principle is to write CNC instructions through computer software, and then input these instructions into the CNC machine tool. The machine tool accurately performs various processing operations according to the instructions, such as milling, turning, drilling and cutting, etc. The key to this technology lies in its digital control, which can accurately control the movement path, feed speed, cutting depth and other parameters of the machine tool, thereby achieving high-precision processing. The basic process of CNC machining is as follows:
- Design stage:Use CAD software to design a 3D model of the workpiece to determine its shape, size and material.
- CNC programming:To convert the CAD model into a CNC machining program, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software is usually used to generate G code or other CNC instructions.
- Processing settings:Input CNC programs into CNC machines and set up workholding and tooling.
- Processing operations:The machine tool automatically performs processing operations according to the CNC program and produces the required workpieces.
